Fellow parents, Let me tell you something to tell your kids, that will help them in the long run. And that is, to “toughen up”. I know the “not so tough” adults, that see this, will interpret this the wrong way, but that’s not my problem. The idea of being tough, doesn’t mean I’m saying to be hard. Doesn’t mean I’m saying don’t be vulnerable. Doesn’t mean, don’t be expressive. Doesn’t mean any of that. What it means is, there will be moments in their life, where the crying and complaining, won’t help, and it most cases, it’ll hinder. At the end of the day

As he does, with pretty much everything, he explains this perfectly. Only thing I’d add, would be from my personal opinion, and that is, both sides knew exactly what they were getting into, and thought it was worth it. It ended up working out for both sides, at least short term.

And, to make it work, everyone involved (JSU and DS), had to sell it, even though they knew what the intent was. JSU knew they wouldn’t have him long, if they won. They can’t say that though. DS knew he would leave, if he got the right opportunity. He can’t say that though.
