Day 2 of the 53rd pre-trial hearing begins soon. After a lengthy review to qualify Dr. Welner as an expert. He will be back on the stand to say the 2007 statements by Mr. al Baluchi were voluntary.
Lurking in the background are the plea agreements with the remaining defendants.
Of note, SECDEF Austin responded to the ruling from Judge McCall yesterday. He believes he still should be the one to make the decision on whether to accept the pleas.

First reported by @carolrosenberg, Judge McCall ruled that the plea agreements with three of the 9/11 defendants are valid and SECDEF Austin's withdrawal was voided.
Good afternoon! In an hour the 9/11 pre-trial hearings will resume after a one-week hiatus and disruption from Hurricane Milton. Today it is expected an attorney representing several major media entities will be arguing a third-party motion in favor unsealing the plea deals.
The motion, labeled AE 961, was filed collectively by the NY Times, The Washington Post, the AP, Fox News Networks, Univision, and NPR.
