Migrants are charged w/ misdemeanor offenses under @GregAbbott_TX’s Operation Lonestar (OL), a legally dubious initiative started through emergency orders. Through Operation Lonestar, Law Enforcement Officers are encouraging ranchers to file criminal charges against migrants. 2/

For years, Grassroots Leadership has been sounding the alarm to how the criminal justice system uses immigration to sustain and grow itself.
One of the most obvious ways this was happening was through illegal entry (1325) and reentry (1326) charges. It's now unconstitutional.
