Most people are unaware that Eastern Oregon never wanted to be grouped with Western Oregon to begin with. 168 years ago when the border was being decided, Eastern Oregonians were over-ruled by voters from the Willamette Valley. Here's how Oregon's border came to be.

🧵 Moving Oregon's border to the Cascade Mountain Range is not a new idea. In fact, the debate about where to place the border began at the original Oregon constitutional convention in 1857, where eastern Oregon had only 1 delegate out of 60. That sole delegate advocated for the border to be placed along the Cascades.

These two town halls are your chance to get the Greater Idaho message to the President of the Oregon Senate! You don't have to live in his district. We haven't been able to get his attention yet from eastern Oregon. If you live near Portland, help us out: 1/🧵 Washington County Oregon Democrat Legislator Town Hall

We won!
The Wallowa County Clerk notified Greater Idaho volunteers this morning that the Greater Idaho measure has clinched a win. It has 8 more Yes votes than No votes and there are only 7 incomplete ballots left to be cured by voters 🧵 Image Professional Portland political operatives broke the law to try to hide who they were and how much money they were spending, but they still lost. Trying to associate normal rural Oregonians like the Greater Idaho movement with scary extremist groups did not work. 🧵

Oregon state government is handling Measure 114 (firearms) terribly. It looks like there will be no firearm purchases in Oregon for the next half a year or year, if judges don't issue a preliminary injunction. Thread:1/8 Image Oregon should be refusing to enforce and impose a measure that is obviously unconstitutional and a violation of the right to self-defense, just as rural sheriffs are refusing. The Oregon Constitution Article 1 Section 27 is the fundamental law, not a state ballot initiative 2/8
