As a $GOOGL shareholder some the things I'm pondering:
Is $MSFT's intention with ChatGPT to build a better search engine or diminish $GOOGL search?
How much is $GOOGL constrained by its business model to deploy its arguably equal or superior AI tech? (counter-positioning)

That the existing link-based search model may be superior for certain types of searches, including providing transparency, provenance and options.
How large is $GOOGL's moat given distribution, brand, habit, network effects, ecosystem, etc.?

Here's some great nuggets from @WilliamGreen72 recent podcast with François Rochon of Giverny Capital.
Rochon has a rule of three for investing: one year out three the market will go down; one stock out of three will disappoint and one year out of three, you'll underperform 1/
He views his portfolio as a holding of companies. He uses the increase in earnings of the portfolio as a proxy for the portfolio's increase in intrinsic value.
Focusing on this metric makes him impervious to market fluctuations and gives him a critical KPI v. the S&P 500 2/

1/ I listened to an excellent YouTube by Christian Ryther from Curreen Capital on investment journaling. Here are my notes.
Journaling is underutilized and can make you a better investor.
Journaling can help reduce mistakes and helps you make decisions under uncertainty.
2/ When you are considering buying a stock, you should write an entry that states all the reasons for buying the stock, i.e. the valuation is cheap, it has a favorable upside/downside ratio, etc.
