I feel like some are confused on what happened in Salem.

In simple terms, the numbers of counter protestors forced cops to redirect chud caravan away from Capitol. Some would call it a win.

Here's a bit of a longer explanation on how that went down, to the best of my knowledge: Counter protestors waited for about two hours. In that time random cars would pass, some aggressive towards the crowd, this created a few altercations of broken windows, paint, hitting some cars.

Some altercations were possibly part of caravan who split off, or random ppl.

Portland police targeted a journalist in the crowd and removed them by force.

@hungrybowtie got removed by force. Garrison said they did not consent to a photo or information being given. They forced them a block away and let them go. Not a good look for police to be finding journalist and removing them.

They're a credentialed journalist so not guarantee that's how it would go (just getting walked away) if you refused to consent. But either way don't talk to cops is always the best move.
