Agree. We *talk* about motherhood as if it’s the most important vocation, but we don’t prepare young women this way. I was trained for success in school and the workplace. This training didn’t help much when I suddenly became responsible for another life; that was overwhelming.
I was told as a young woman: “You can do anything,” (meaning, any dream job). I will tell my daughters: “You can do anything, but you may be called to motherhood, which will affect your career aspiration. Here are the skills you will need for motherhood.”
