I hate how #inaccessible access is... I can't use the @Yale accessible shuttle without a medical note stating I use a wheelchair...but I'm new to the USA, so the earliest appt I could get was 2 months after my start date. I can't get into the office... 1/ @Yale A Canadian note does not work... or the fact that I'm in a wheelchair. I was told to "start the request now because it takes time to be approved", but I can't start the request without a US doctor's name and information. #InaccessibleAccessibility 2/

This year International Day of Persons with Disabilities is highlighting that not all disabilities are visible. Disabilities are diverse and they can be dynamic. I have #EDS and I never know what my day is going to be like 1/ Sometimes I can go for a hike, other times I'm using mobility aids. I have to do a morning check to see how I'm feeling before I leave and that is just something I do. 2/
