Yamunotri temple is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, and is situated in the western Garhwal Himalayas, Uttarakhand at an elevation of about 3,291mts above sea level. The temple has a black marble idol of the Goddess.

Hinduism is the most fascinating relig!on and it has meaningful ties with the elements of nature. One of which is the significance of Mango Leaves. Mango leaves placed on the kalash with a coconut,the leaves signify the limbs of the Gods while the coconut represents the head. Mango Leaves are also thought to remove the n€gativity that is why they are hung in the entrance of the doors. In the puranas, the leaves symbolizes as the symbol of fertility.

Shankha or conch shell is regarded as on of the most sacred and auspicious instrument in Hindu culture. This word is derived from two words 'Shum' which means 'good' and 'Kham' which means 'water' thus combined to be known as Shankham. When the Shankha is blown by controlling the breath, the sound "OM" emanates from it. It is also said that by blowing it, all the negative energy gets ridden off. The Kamakhya Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the mother goddessKamakhya, one of the oldest of the 51 Shakti Pithas, Situated on the Nilachal Hill in western part of Guwahati city in Assam, India it is the main temple in a complex of individual temples dedicated to the 10 ten Mahavidyas:Bhuvaneshvari, Bagalamukhi, Chinnamasta, Tripura Sundari, Tara, Kali, Bhairavi, Dhumavati, Matangi andKamala. Among these, Tripurasundari, Matangi and Kamala reside inside the main temple whereas the other seven reside in individual temples.
