It is about time Pakistan army high command structure is reconfigured. Currently, the COAS presides over the Corps Commanders. At least six Corps commanders can pretty much announce the breakup of Pakistan. 2. For instance, if the Corps Commander Karachi declares, Karachi an independent country; the COAS has no Army under his control in Karachi to prevent him from doing that. Similarly, the Corps Commanders at Peshawar, Lahore, Multan, and Quetta can do that too.
