Read this book "Early Indians" by @tjoseph0010. Fascinating is an understatement.
There were 4 waves of migrations to South Asia: 1. 65,000 years ago: People who move out of Africa meet with robust people there. They take 2 routes: inland Sub-Himalayan and coastal.
In order to avoid those people and move to East Asia, Southeast Asia and Australia.
2. 7,000 BCE to 3,000 BCE: Iranian agriculturalists move from the Zagros mountains to South Asia. Intermixing with first Indians estimated to have happened between 4,700 BCE and 3,000 BCE.
3. 2,000 BCE: 2 waves of migration from China (post the farming revolution and population surge there) change Southeast Asia. China's farming revolution introduces new plants, rice types and Austroasiatic languages to India after 2,000 BCE.
3/5 By enticing caste (Konar/Nadar) and religious (Hindu/Christian) conflicts in Thoothukudi, you can create enough trouble to force people out of their homes. In the end, you can empty Thoothukudi of some of its native residents.
Look at image #1. The thick route is what Indian ships take to reach from, say Mumbai in West India to Chennai or Kolkata in East India. Going around Sri Lanka means paying Sri Lanka a hefty sum to get cargo through.
Now look at image #2. Hambantota is exactly in that route.
So what is RSS' worldview and why is it so toxic and dangerous, not just for Muslims, Christians and Sikhs but ultimately Hindus as well?
Time to look deep into it because that's what I intend to do in this thread.
A brief introduction to RSS:
This is an organization formed in 1925 by KB Hedgewar. It was/is led by Marathi Brahmins and has branches everywhere in India.
The first head was KB Hedgewar.
Second: MS Golwalkar.
Third: Madhukar Dattatreya Deoras.
Fourth: Mohan Bhagwat.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is 5-6 million strong. It's the parent organization of the political party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and militant organizations such as Bajrang Dal, Sri Ram Sena, etc., together they're called the Sangh Parivar.
@sonaliranade Why would anybody care for the poor? All Modi ji needs to do is throw a few crumbs their way and say a few kind words and he'll have the same poor people he ruthlessly crushes eating from his hand in no time.
@sonaliranade I really feel bad for India's poor but I can't help but ask hard questions because rural India voted overwhelmingly for BJP in 2019. Even urban India didn't go so far as rural India did in their support for BJP last year.
2/10 Let me briefly elaborate on the cheap labor aspect.
Unlike people in the West who demand higher salaries for getting work done, Indians did and still do the same work for much less.
This was why many Indians got jobs starting in the 20th century. Most are from Kerala.
3/10 Also, the goodwill earned by India since 1947 helped out a lot.
Educated Indians could get by with far less so the Arabs gave them more money. You can compare what Indians earn in the Middle East and what they earn in the West. Comparable but there are other aspects.
Jain culture shall henceforth be referred to as JC and ultra-orthodox Brahmin culture as UOBC.
So what is JC/UOBC?
Have you ever noticed how prudish Indians are in school and college? It isn't a natural setting. It's an artificial reinforcement by their parents and society.
Whenever middle class Indian boys or girls exhibit any form of masculinity/femininity, adventure and risk-taking, charisma, romance, sensuality or sexuality, they're ruthlessly suppressed, first by their parents, then by society.
But he dismissed it and misled the world a lot of times since then which has led us to this.
2. Personally I consider this as a direct fallout of the Syrian war but the victory of Bashar al-Assad has made Arab dictators more paranoid since the mid-2010s.
Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt have gone bonkers. Qatar is also increasingly repressive. In general, the Middle East is far more repressive and dangerous today compared to a decade ago. The dictators of the region now believe in Assad's model.
1. The RSS/BJP route: Empower Jains, Brahmins & Banias. Use OBC/SC Hindus to riot against Muslims and throw them under the bus in the name of law and order.
2. The DK/DMK route: Educate OBC/SC Hindus and help them stand on their own feet.
Route 1 is also called the North Korea route. You brainwash OBC/SC Hindus to such an extent that all they know is to be slaves to RSS/BJP leaders (most of whom are Brahmins/Jains) and attack Muslims when told to. They aren't given education or jobs. They only know to be thugs.
2/13 Bear in mind it's gonna take a lot of resources to prepare the NPR in the first place. NPR is one layer and NRC is the layer on top of NPR. CAA is the filter that excludes "foreign" Muslims whilst giving refuge to "foreign" non-Muslims.
But what happens once NPR is built?
3/13 This also has an economic angle: If you're rich, disenfranchising you isn't possible without consequences, so they'll just send ED/IT/CBI to harass you or increase GST compliance requirements. This mainly targets middle class/poor Indians.
Imagine PM of India Narendra Modi taking Bear Grylls on a tour of India.
A spoof of the same has been made here:
Starts at 14:03. For impatient people, skip to 15:52.
Just in case you don't understand Tamil, I shall give a jest of the same in a thread.
Scene 1: Bear Grylls waits in a forest.
BG: Welcome everyone, I'm Bear Grylls. I've served in the British military for 12 years. Today I told a Gujarati that I was bored of trekking through forests all the time so he promised to show me around India. Now I'm waiting for him.
*A helicopter lands below and PM of India Narendra Modi arrives.*
NM: Bear Grylls, welcome! Let me complete my dialogue.
*looking above* Who pushed me from the helicopter?
*pointing to Bear Grylls* My voice is too low, you must save the show today.
Q: Why the tearing hurry for Indira Gandhi?
A: 1. India was in trouble for testing a nuclear weapon. 2. Sri Lanka was about to be given the status of President of the UN General Assembly. The NAM summit was also held in Colombo in 1976.
