🧵Statement from @HarpSealsDotOrg on the recent "Seal Summit": The Fish Food and Allied Workers Union, i.e., fishermen/sealers, who attended the Seal Summit are pleased that Fisheries Minister/Vancouver Quadra MP @JoyceMurray announced "an open call for proposals from Indigenous 2)and industry groups to undertake much-needed science work." If the sealers can't get the results they want from actual scientists, they will get the government to give them public money💰💰💰 to kill seals and pretend to conduct scientific experiments on them.
