1.) few simple questions (it's about the indian govt because i'm not pakistani & they are burdened by a general (a bigoted fanatic) who didn't even have the support of his own people before this war, so his objective is clear) - what was the strategy behind the air strikes? 2.) was the pakistani response unexpected? we hadn't bothered to evacuate our civilians along the border.
did we underestimate their capabilities? questions about aircrafts being downed have been raised by credible sources.
surely we must've gamed the possibility of a response?

1. Is it a complete abdication of sense that leads to the cheerleading of today’s action? Let us look at it from the limited context of tactical & strategic security, before we return to political stupidity. 2. First the cul-de-sac india's been led into by the tactical & strategic shallowness of the modi govt. What'll now be the response if there is ever a terror attack? Is it the case that any & every fanatic with a gun can now push the sub-continent into war at his will?

a man is lynched for sacrilege inside the Harmandir Sahib complex, indefensible. Claims of conspiracy to foment trouble before elections would have required the man be held alive and safe so the conjectured antecedents of the act could be determined.
ndtv.com/india-news/man… the lynching is a grotesque mockery of what believers claim the faith stands for, this didn't happen at a fringe nihang dera. this happened at the Golden Temple administered by the representative body of the faith. whataboutery now would be even more of a shame.

another bluestar anniversary:
1) The politics: R K Dhawan said Rajiv Gandhi, Arun Nehru & Arun Singh felt a successful army operation against Bhindranwale would help 'win elections hands down'. Asked if they told Indira Gandhi, he said, “definitely.”
caravanmagazine.in/reportage/shat… 2.) As with Bluestar, rajiv & arun nehru saw the same political benefit in their organised massacre of Sikhs in 84 Nov. The subsequent poll saw the first corporate campaign, stoking hindu sentiments against a sikh minority. the road from rajiv gandhi to narendra modi is direct.

'...if somebody's hit on the...road or tractor...or anything, it won't be the same,” the expert said. “It won't have that beautifully explained inverted margins, it'd be a wide wound. They've not recorded grazed abrasions anywhere, which would suggest a sliding fall on the road.' '“They shot at him from the side, from the grills … After he was shot, the tractor toppled, and he died on the spot.” Harmanjit added, “Then they tried to seize the body. They beat us with sticks and stones, but we did not let them take the body.'

Judges' accounts form much of the basis for judgment upholding Maharashtra state’s claim Loya died a natural death. Accounts do not hold up, employee at Ravi Bhawan contradict their claim in a statement to police. State conceals this from Supreme Court
caravanmagazine.in/crime/ravi-bha… Why is it important to persist with the Loya case? Because it goes to the heart of the malaise that afflicts the modi regime. This thread reexamines the sequence from the 2002 communal violence against Muslims to this death

Thread on jay shah (amit shah’s son) businesses
In 2017 @rohini_sgh did @thewire_in story which showed revenue at his temple enterprises jumped from Rs 50,000 to Rs 80.5 crores from 2014-15 to 2015-16. Company stopped business in 2016 after Rs 1.4 cr loss.
thewire.in/business/amit-… After wire story amit shah claimed temple enterprises hadn't conducted business of a single rupee with govt, had not acquired govt land worth a single rupee, had not taken any govt contract.
He forgot to mention jay shah’s other company – kusum finserve- for good reason.
