[1-9] Hindsight.
Exactly a year ago, Pakistan's economy was on track. Pakistanis were optimistic about the country's future. Many overseas Pakistanis were planning to return. In a cruel twist of fate, Pakistan has now hit rock bottom & staring at default amidst hopelessness.
[2-9] As someone who is an eternal optimist, I know deep down we all can - and will - change Pakistan for the better. But, feeling grief is human. We all suffer differently. And, I'm no exception, e.g., after VONC, I never wrote an article again for an international publication.

[1-16] THREAD ON CURRENT STATE OF PAKISTANI SOCIETY
Despite our well entrenched political positions, it's sometimes good to take a step back. We all can perhaps agree that as a country Pakistan has hit a new rock bottom. We are in a downward spiral on a very slippery slope.
[2-16] Never before has our polity been so divided; toxicity pearmeating our social fabric to this extent; & debilitating paralysis/breakdown of "collective thinking" we see today. There's no past era to harken to; & no parallels with past. This is tectonic in its magnitude.

[1-5] Outstanding Vlog by @MoeedNj. Don't miss. Takeaway: 🇨🇳 lobbied with 🇷🇺 to warm up to Pakistan. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity for 🇵🇰 which had been wanting to gradually wean itself off excessive dependence on US.
[2-5] Former Prime Minister Imran Khan was pivotal to 🇵🇰 warming up to Russia & further strengthening the strategic ties with China. Enter the United States of America through its stooges & agents. Result: Imran Khan dislodged as PM.

[1-9] THREAD: Partisan I am, and will remain, in PMIK's favour (but do read till end). Despite his flaws (administrative failures e.g. appointment of Buzdar), here's a man who he has dedicated his life to Pakistan's betterment & welfare of its people.
[2-9] It's a monstrosity to compare PMIK with blood thirsty leeches who have sucked blood out of every vein of Pakistan. These forces of evil have ganged up against him because he's an existential threat to their survival. It's simple: he survives or they do.

[1/4] Beware Pakistan: India's sinister disinformation campaign against Pakistan is in full swing. Objective: exploit current political uncertainty to try & drive a wedge between Pakistan Armed Forces & Government. This will fail!

[2/4] This article is example of India's modus operandi: obfuscate / create facts, spread disinfo & take audience on pedantic spiral to: (i) sow confusion (ii) generate global anxiety about Pakistan. But to India's chagrin, this attempt will fail. Here's why:
