Thread: bob World fiasco

In Bank of Baroda, staff and agents linked their mobile numbers with customers’ accounts to sign them up on the bank’s app, bob World. Result: Theft of ₹22 lakh. That’s the latest from @reporters_co-@AJEnglish investigation. From 362 accounts in seven states, 72 agents stole ₹22.4 lakh last year. More than ₹1 lakh each was stolen from six customers. One agent stole ₹3.9 lakh, according to information revealed in an internal audit held in July-August.
