Is my family safe? Can I leave my house? Can I open my business? These are some of the questions Palestinians in Israel are asking themselves this morning after armed Jewish groups, in some cases backed by the state, marched through our cities to beat the shit out of us. This violence isn’t new. It’s there when our rent applications are rejected because we're Palestinian. It’s there when we’re denied jobs because we’re Palestinian. It’s there when our homes are demolished, and when we are forced out of our own towns because of racist policies.

A month ago, I said goodbye to my newly-wedded husband @JackDodson without knowing when we were going to see each other again. I'm a Palestinian citizen of Israel, he’s American. Some seriously problematic and persistently racist reactions in Israel to the Jewish Nation-State Bill: (a thread) People who speak out against the law because it's biased against the Druze community in particular, and not because it’s a discriminatory law in general. This argument only serves to reify the racial hierarchy in Israel.
