Let's talk about what the bill actually says. 🧵 2/HB 659 passed the Idaho House 41-27. It asks every law enforcement agency to apply for a 287(g) agreement with ICE — the program that lets trained local officers help enforce immigration law in jails and on warrants.
If an agency can't participate, they publish a statement explaining why. That's it.
