I seriously can't think of a more catastrophic idea than Universal Basic Income. Economically, socially, morally UBI is the fast lane to total collapse. If imposed everywhere in the developed world, it will bring us either to a tyranny so horrific it will make every dystopia... you've ever heard of seem like a Beatrix Potter story, or reduce our "global civilisation" to a zombie-apocalypse level nightmare.

AI + automation wipes out human labour → governments impose UBI → everything unravels.

Re: Charlotte's TLM: it really does just illustrate what I've been saying. There are two completely different and implacably opposed religions living in the same institution.
