Maharishi Panini was a Kashmiri Brahmin who was born in Śalātura in northwest India, north of the confluence of the Sindhu and the Kabul rivers. The Geographical area of Kashmir was bigger then. It was a large and big northeast region. Panini was a Sanskrit grammarian who gave a comprehensive and scientific theory of phonetics, phonology, and morphology. Sanskrit was the classical language of the Hindus and Panini is considered the founder of the language and literature.
