I disagree with KDW on this. Mar-a-lago isn't just any house in Florida. It's the home of the President's possible challenger. When that happens extra care has to be taken to ensure there are very good and justifiable reasons to search his property.

The FBI raiding the home of the President's presumed opposing candidate has such wide-ranging political implications it's hard to believe it was done without the President or AG's knowledge. Who in the DOJ would take such a step without clearing it with the highest levels?

Though my preference is for conservative scholars to stay at institutions instead of leaving them to anti-liberal forces. If it were me I would have waited for that to happen before quitting.

There's a related question to this that I've been meaning to ask. But I'm not sure how to pose it tactfully... When my wife and I were seeking fertility treatment, because of our age we knew we were at a higher chance of conceiving a child with Down Syndrome. We would not have refused to carry the child if that had been the case. But it did give us concern about going on with the process.

It's hard to debate the Breonna Taylor case without nailing down if they identified themselves. And the differing reports on that guarantees everyone will only side with whoever they're willing to give the benefit of the doubt to. Cops have no reason not to id themselves. They could have been negligent or not loud enough. The boyfriend has no reason to get into a shootout with the cops. The most sensible explanation is he thought they were intruders.

Part of the complication with SCOTUS nominations is a different understanding of what the Senate's role in this is supposed to be. Arguably the intent of Senate consent was to prevent corrupt dealings in their appointment, or to stop the President from appointing their cousin. Not mean to be a filter against qualified nominees who went against the ideological makeup of the Senate at the time. And the President got plenty of deference in their appointment. RBG, who was known as a liberal firebrand at the time was confirmed 96-3. Scalia 98-0.

There is no such thing as a Garland Rule or a Biden Rule. There is only the Constitution.

Anyone complaining about Garland "stolen seat" is presuming the Senate is supposed to rubber stamp the President's nominee. And don't start with "AlL wE wAnTeD wAs A hEaRiNg."

I haven't decided if I'm voting for Trump. And if I do I won't claim I was forced to by the left. I understand and sympathize with every single argument thrown at me about Trump's unfitness for office. But to me it just comes down to one issue: abortion. Joe Biden is a good man. And the country would probably be better managed under his administration. But I can't vote for the abortion platform he brings along with him.

Let's pump the brakes here for a second. What I've seen of Cuties is creepy, vile and should be all around condemned, but I don't know that it counts as child pornography or that it should be illegal or prompt the state to get involved. If that's where this is headed. Yeah, I'm not getting on board here. And I suspect this has to do with Netflix's woke programming and having the Obamas on as producers.
