Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus is a finalist for two HC positions and continues to generate interest every hiring cycle. Meanwhile, the attitude about him among Colts fans is lukewarm AT BEST and many want him gone. It's interesting to me so I did some digging (thread) Under Matt Eberflus (since 2018), the Colts rank in the top 10 in: Takeaways, points allowed, yards allowed per game and yards per carry.

And Eberflus has done this with just ONE player reaching double digits in sacks in 4 years (Justin Houston, 2019).

Colts give the Titans an unusual look with Taylor AND Hines in the backfield. Hines goes in motion but you still have to account for Taylor so the play-action works. Touchdown Jack Doyle. I've heard from a lot of people since yesterday about Nick Sirianni's hiring in the context of him getting a job before Eric Bieniemy. Some thoughts: 1/ It's Ok to be surprised at Sirianni getting this job. I am surprised too. I didn't even realize he was a serious candidate until the past 36 hours or so. He did not call plays in Indy (Frank Reich did that) and his background is largely in coaching WRs, not QBs. 2/
