There is a difference between ending and not continuing.
We reject no one. So take nothing from us.
Togashi and Nasu supremacy.
There is no God.

Hunter x Hunter Chapter 393: "Plea"
Thread.
Another week and another classic Togashi banger. This chapter was actually VERY dense, much more so than I was expecting, we got plenty of characterization, some world building and story progression that I wasn't expecting to see until several chapters later.

Hunter x Hunter Chapter 391: "Clash: part 2"
Thread.
First off gotta love this color page, it's not relevant to the arc but it's awesome to see Gon and Yusuke drawn together.

Here it is, The Thread That Was Promised.
"Love is Destructive"
A deconstruction of Illumi Zoldyck and his love towards Killua.
Illumi Zoldyck is one of the most fascinating characters in Hunter x Hunter.
Despite his low amount of screentime, Togashi's efficiency in his characterization allowed for immense depth beyond the surface.

Kurapika is such a unique avenger character, while he does not undergo a corruption arc, he also does not get the happy ending for starting to let go of his quest for revenge.
His depression and loneliness are only worsened by seemingly moving in the right direction.
Even as he fulfills his other, healthier goal, he still ends up feeling empty. Even after his friends provide him with support and make him realize that he has more to live for, he still isolates himself and becomes even more self-destructive.

"The one who is cursed... is the one making the wishes."
An attempt at dispelling the misunderstandings surrounding Alluka and Nanika, and explaining how they embody Hunter x Hunter's message about empathy to prove that, far from being a flaw, they were a brilliant addition.
For a long time now, I've always wanted to talk about this topic at length, but hesitated to do so because of how controversial it was.
However, those who have read my threads and posts throughout the past half year could probably notice me slowly but surely setting up for it.

"It's okay. It doesn't hurt."
A long thread about why 'Anger X And X Light' is my favorite episode in Anime and how it almost turned Hunter x Hunter into a tragedy.
Reasons to love episode 131 of Hunter x Hunter are plenty. It is extremely raw, beautifully presented and a revolutionary climax to a revolutionary arc. It masterfully depicts so many extreme emotions between Gon's rage and guilt, Pitou's loyalty and Killua's helplessness.

"Ties are to be severed, not forgotten."
An exploration of the contrast between Kurapika and Chrollo's arcs, and speculation of where they might be heading.
Includes Manga spoilers.
Through Gon and Killua's case, we see the importance of having people who love you for who you are, and how instead of treating it as the source of value, it should be proof of it. But what happens when those people are taken away? Even more so when it feels like it's your fault?

"Two sides of the same coin"
A quick study of Gon and Killua's lack of self-worth and how they foil each other.
Killua's lack of self-worth is one of his most defining characteristics, and finding something through which he can see his own value has been his journey since he left his home, a goal which he accomplishes by the end of the story.
But what about Gon?

I talked about how both Bazett and Angra go through a similar conflict throughout the story, but I intentionally left out what is essentially the core of that conflict, and what is arguably Hollow Ataraxia's main theme.
Part 2: "Fear of Death and the Continuation after the End"
Before starting, there are two things I want to note:
1- If you believe in some sort of afterlife, that's cool, but this thread assumes that there is absolutely nothing after death.
2- This is a very heavy theme and some things I'll state might make you feel uncomfortable.

It's Hollow Time! So to celebrate here is the first half of a mega thread exploring our favorite Master-Servant duo and how their arcs parallel each other:
Part 1: "The Contradiction of Desires"
I don't think I speak only for myself when I say that Bazett and Angra, along with their relationship are the core of Hollow Ataraxia, and without a doubt one of the best aspects of it, and I want to break down why I think their story is so compelling.
