It's worse. Liberal women want to maintain their belief that men hate/oppress them. But since they are the most cherished creatures on the planet, this becomes difficult. No one understood this question. If a society relies on something to perpetuate itself and it makes that thing illegal, that society ends.
Patriarchy(as defined by feminists) ended as soon as violence against women became illegal.
Think critically about the crap you believe. How much money does Patriarchy put into encouraging 'violence against women' in order to maintain itself? How much money does Patriarchy put into stopping violence against women?
Let's do a comparison.
