If you are outraged that @educationgovuk continue to expose our children, school staff and families daily to unnecessary increased risk of infection, then please consider following the accounts listed in the comments.
This is huge news for all of those vulnerable families who are being hounded to return their children to in-person education that has NONE of the scientifically recognised mitigations recognised mitigations in place.
If @educationgovuk now amend the wording of their inadequate guidance AND ALSO rewrite it BASED on scientifically recognised mitigations then in-person education can be safe, sustainable &fair to all

My youngest had an asthma episode last night, quite mild, just the feeling like someone was sat on his chest.
He had an interrupted nights sleep, so said he was tired this morning. No temperature and said he wanted to go to school.
I called the school after dropping him off to let them know he’d had asthma issues last night and to keep an eye on him today. He had PE so I wanted to make sure staff were aware. Receptionist said she’d emailed deep support so someone would check in with him.

IF I WANTED to follow the GBD ‘strategy’ and allow all lower age groups to become infected in the pursuit of herd immunity via infection, I would;
1. Mandate school attendance for all. 2. Not allow mask use 3. Not vaccinate children 4. Not monitor or improve ventilation
5. Not reduce class sizes to allow for social distancing 6. Allow close contacts of positive cases to attend school 7. Not inform parents of positive cases in the school 8. Not allow blended or remote learning 9. State children are rarely affected by a covid infection
Recent Supreme Court decision in R(A) v Home Secretary UKSC 37, which enables Government guidance or policy documents themselves to be judicially reviewed.
"the court will intervene when a public authority has, by issuing a policy, positively authorised or approved unlawful conduct by others. In that sort of case, it can be said that the public authority has acted unlawfully by undermining the rule of law in a direct…

Take a look at your loved ones now, in 15 weeks how many of them will be here?
How many of them will have been infected & NOT returned to pre-infection health?
Vote of no confidence in U.K. Government in relation to their reckless, immoral policy of pursuing unnecessary exposure to infection of our children, school staff and our families! Please like and RT the tweet below.
Could it possibly mean that school leadership teams with whom the decision to temporarily close has always rested with (norovirus, snow, hearing failures etc) will now be able to make the decision to temporarily close?
If so is this not a good thing? news.sky.com/story/covid-19…
If a school leadership team believes the numbers of children/staff infected warrant moving to remote educating for a time can they do so without the vindictive threats from @GavinWilliamson that Greenwich faced last December?

Imagining the GBD advocates having a conversation with @BorisJohnson (lumped together as GBD for this 🧵 )
BJ: they rumbled the plan, I think I may have let it slip
GBD: what did you do?
BJ: I sort of said there’s a school of thought that we could take it on the chin, let it rip in one fail swoop, get it over and done with.
GBD: we told you people wouldn’t like it, we said you’d have to be careful
BJ: what now?

The thing I find hardest to deal with is that parents who did not wish for their child (irrespective of underlying conditions or household cv/CEV members) to be unnecessarily and knowingly exposed to increased risk of infection are still being gaslighted and bullied.
Yes, I didn’t keep my children home. I wanted to, but my boys wanted to be with their friends in school.
My OH supported their choice and I supported it as long as I got them permission to at least use a mask in classrooms.

I am going to be blunt (what’s new?🤣)
Children DO contract
Children DO transmit
If in-person education is NOT going to keep unnecessarily exposing children, staff & their families to increased risk of infection they MUST implement ALL scientifically recognised mitigations
To continue to recognise that infection rates in children are increasing and yet also continue to NOT mitigate like all other settings this is UNLAWFUL & must be challenged.
Who will do this? Who will stand up and help?
Each day more unnecessary infections occur!

AN INSTRUCTIONAL GUIDE FOR LEADERS OF ALL NATIONS
HOW TO ACT LIKE AN ABUSIVE SPOUSE TOWARDS YOUR NATION - By Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson age 56 and 11 months
Remember firstly that chaos is king, actually chaos makes YOU the king of all you have power over
Covid is GREAT
You must first ensure that you are publicly viewed as a harmless, perhaps disorganised, fun loving rogue. It is essential that your nation regard you as always ‘doing your best’
It is imperative you must appear non-threatening at all times.
Bumbling puppy-dog is my choice.

SHOUT OUT to those involved in education who ARE doing all they can to challenge the lack of scientifically recognised mitigations in U.K. schools
Thank you! Teachers deserve a working environment that has mitigated risk of unnecessary exposure to infection too! #SafeEdForAll
I am concerned that people who recognise that the @educationgovuk are morally and legally wrong to unnecessarily and knowingly expose children, school staff and their families to increased risk of infection and who have not PUBLICLY challenged this are teaching our children.

WE WERE RIGHT!
WE WERE AND CONTINUE TO BE IGNORED, GASLIGHTED AND BULLIED to send our children and school staff into indoor environments that DO NOT HAVE adequate mitigations for an airborne virus!
WE WILL CONTINUE TO ASK FOR #SafeEdForAll
...and see if there were positive cases identified with the LFDs.
BUT remember all the secondary schools were allowing/encouraging mask use in all areas.
So what Jon Deeks has asked for was the data from the pilots.
What was compliance like? 50%? 90%?...2

The decision by @educationgovuk to remove masks in classrooms drastically alters the environment that the clinical trials are operating in, how is this going to be accounted for in the trial reporting?
