THREAD: The feds recently implicated ComEd in running a bribery ring where the utility handed out $1.3 million in political favors. We must hold them accountable and act on climate change without delay. Let’s break this down. 1/10
For years, ComEd traded jobs, contracts, and money for political influence. They used that influence to pass “formula rates” that gifted ComEd executives with automatic rate hikes at the expense of low-income ratepayers and small businesses. This needs to end now. 2/10

🚨Today, @LVEJO is taking over the ICJC social media accounts! Since 1994, we’ve organized members of the Little Village community to advocate for environmental justice. We’re a proud member of the ICJC, & today we’re taking over their social media to share some devastating news.
For more than a generation, our community has suffered from pollution rising out of the Crawford Coal Plant, which was finally shut down in 2012. But just this past weekend, the nearly 100-year old smokestack was demolished, blanketing our community in toxic dust.
