It was only in 2004 that Michel Fourniret, a French serial killer and pedophile active between 1987 and 2003, admitted to having killed Elisabeth Brichet. The geographical proximity of Fourniret to Belgium allowed him to cross the border often. Fourniret died in 2021.

The Agusta scandal is referring to Agusta, an Italian helicopter manufacturer, bribing politicians into securing large orders of Agusta A109 helicopters for the Belgian army, instead of the french Écureil AS 350, which was the most fitting option for the army's budget 
All of that in exchange for money. No matter the amount given, no steps were taken to help their case. That is an awful crime on it's own but one can also legitimately wonder what could happen to migrants getting in contact with the wife of Belgium's biggest human trafficker

Is this just a trick his lawyer and him have been cooking up to ask for his release on parole application? Back in august 2018, Dutroux (his lawyer really) wrote a letter to the parents of his victims, which was part of a campaign started by Dayez for his release
