Most people talk about the ending of Apocalypto like it’s supposed to be a twist when in actual reality, it isn’t.
If you paid close very attention, you'd find out that the movie actually told us exactly how it was going to end very early on. The problem is that, at the time you just didn’t realize what you were hearing.
After Jaguar Paw and the others were captured and were being taken to the slave camp, a sickly, dying girl comes forward
She looked very insignificant and the warriors were scared of her and avoided her like a plague.
She looked straight at the warriors and said:
“You fear me? So you should.”
“The sacred time is near.
Beware the blackness of day.
Beware the man who brings the jaguar.
Behold him reborn from mud and earth.”
They ignored her and kept it moving...
That single decision actually cost them everything.

An Igbo woman and an Hausa lawyer were seated next to each other on a flight from Abuja to Lagos. The lawyer asked if she would like to play a fun game.
The woman, tired, just wanted to take a nap, politely declined and rolled over to the window to catch a few winks.
