Adding on to this excellent thread by our dear Aya, I want to share some further thoughts on the resistance's novel strategic-moral equation for retaliation in a manner that does not bring us down to the level of our monstrous enemy, while still punishing and defeating them 🧵👇🏼 Primarily this is achieved by targeting enemy military positions embedded within the civilian infrastructure of the entity.
This, as Aya says in her thread, is a much more valuable use of ammo, and has real military ramifications, even if censorship keeps the results hidden.

🧵The occupation succeeded in 2 things today: murdering 100s of civilians, & spinning an extensive media disinformation campaign, designed to lower our morale.
If this sounds familiar, it's because it's the same, tired story we've seen 100s of times, yet people still fall for it. The claim they destroyed 50% of the Lebanese resistance's arsenal shouldn't even need discussion, but here we are. How many times did they say this about Gaza? About Lebanon itself in 2006?

THREAD 🧵: Our moral responsibility towards Gaza and its people, and the role of the emergent global "support front" in the war. The occupation have waged a brutal, inhuman war for almost a year now not only against the resistance in Gaza but also against its people.
It is a war of extermination intended to break not only the resistance, but also the people of Gaza.

A thread 🧵on the Islamic perspectives of suffering, martyrdom and righteousness, intended to explain some of the Islamic perspectives on these matters.
If you are nor Muslim or religious you may not agree with these perspectives, but may still benefit from understanding them. We have suffered immensely at the hands of the empire and its colony, not only in the past 10 months, but over the past century, and across our entire region.
Martyrs in the millions, disenfranchisement, colonisation and poverty and injustice of every manner you can imagine.

Short thread 🧵 on the significance of the choice of Yahya Sinwar as successor to the martyred leader Ismail Haniyeh, and how it emphatically denies the enemy any accomplishments for their murder of Haniyeh, for which the occupation had multiple goals. 1. The occupation hoped to create a power vacuum that would be filled with a figure less close to Iran and the Resistance Axis.
The choice of Sinwar resoundingly sinks that hope: Sinwar is one of the single closest figures to the Resistance Axis and Iran.

[THREAD:🧵🇮🇷 THE IRANIAN RETALIATION]:
The Iranian retaliation to the occupation's flagrant, illegal aggression against the Iranian consulate in Damascus came last night, and it was resoundingly successful across multiple layers, not only militarily but also strategically. ▶ This success is evident across multiple sectors, as this thread will explore.
The noise trying to deny this is manufactured damage-control by the US, the entity & Arab/Gulf normalizers.
I may address this later- for now, I focus on the military/strategic elements of the attack.

Thread 🧵- Dangers of Sectarianism:
The growing unity across the Arab & Islamic world is a popular manifestation of the Unity of the Fields between resistance groups of all backgrounds, stood together as brothers at arms.
Most crucially: the beautiful unity between Shia & Sunna. The sectarian divide we have been afflicted by over the past decades is the direct result of the billions of dollars invested by the US (and its Gulf tributaries) into sowing division and discord: it is the self-same Divide and Conquer strategy they pursue across the globe.

I have never seen the Arab and Muslim world more united than they are today- and they are united through the choice of armed resistance, and through the same fabled names that echo out from Tunisia to Baghdad to Amman: Abu Obeida, Mohammad Deif, Yahya Sinwar. In Ramallah, the flags of the Palestinian resistance fly alongside the flag of the Lebanese resistance, and chants for both ring out from the crowds.

Looks like the whole "keep us divided between Sunna and Shia" plan really isn't going so well, they're digging up the native informants to desperately try to keep the flame of sectarianism burning. Other people they'e enlisted for this purpose include *checks notes* ... Avichay Adraae🤣

🧵 Hizbullah's strike on the Meron IOF base - Part 2:
In Part 1, we discussed the impact of the hit, the evidence for it, the lacking IOF response, and the place of the attack within the Lebanese resistance's broader strategy - you can read this here:
III. The attack on Meron enables retaliation and escalation from all fronts.
Today, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced the targeting of occupied Haifa using a cruise missile.

As usual, here are all today's resistance videos collected in one thread for your viewing pleasure!
See also the below thread to remind yourself of the privilege of bearing witness to these scenes:
Al-Qassam - scenes of an IOF special force lured into an deadly ambush.
Note that this is north Gaza, which the IOF claim to "control", but in fact, are reportedly withdrawing from, despite it being one of the first points they attacked in the ground op.

Today has witnessed a shocking number of qualitative developments in the battle. I will try to summarise and analyse them in this thread 🧵 in the context of the greater war. 🇾🇪 AnsarAllah's blockade has led to almost every major shipping company ceasing operations in the Red Sea.
Some have stopped working with "Israel" specifically, but it seems there is US pressure to avoid this, in the hope of avoiding the isolation of the Zionist entity. Image

🧵 PART 1:
It is important to understand the historical context that has led to today's battle, not least because critical elements of it continue to be misunderstood, and some who have recently taken interest have not had the chance to correctly contextualize this background. The resistance in Gaza is part of the Resistance Axis, a regional cultural & military alliance led by Iran. Its members act in harmony, but also independently.
(The US terms its members "Iranian proxies", but as usual, that is a projection of how the US treat their own "allies").

🧵on the current status of the northern front:

One of the reasons the current state of the northern front is so suitable for Hizbullah is that the IOF are unable to practice Dahiya Doctrine, meaning it is a one-to-one battle between the resistance and the IOF. Without the ability to commit punitive massacres, such an equation will always be fatally unfavourable for the weak, fragile, ineffectual IOF.

This is, in turn, a result of the incredible deterrence Hizbullah has built up via their extensive arsenal over the past decades.

🧵 Thread on "control" and the battle in Gaza.
Concepts like "control" cannot be applied to guerilla warfare: there is a difference between an army being present in an area and controlling it, and it is abundantly clear that IOF is present in Gaza, but in control of nothing. Through their usual farcical media obfuscation the IOF make claims of control regarding areas they are present in, but videos like today's prove this control is but a fantasy, if resistance fighters are able to emerge from the very ground beneath you.

🧵 For all people saying "what's the point of the resistance's rockets": you must understand the fragility of the settlers, their desperation for safety and security and their unwillingness to sacrifice themselves for their stolen land. This is why, despite the asymmetry in firepower, the rockets of the resistance threaten the fragile colonists and their dream of maintaining a safe, luxurious occupation without any price. The disruption of rushing to shelters is enough to make life "intolerable" for these people

🧵Thread:
The Zionist psyche took an immense blow on Oct 7th as their sacred military was humiliated at the hands of those they see as sub-human.
The atrocities they invent are therefore almost an expression of what they *feel* happened to them on that day. What was actually violated was their racist, ethnosupremacist hegemony, but they cannot say that outright, and so instead they express these emotions in terms that are, to their twisted minds, equivalent in intensity to their emotional reaction to the events of that day.

Yahya Sinwar is a modern-day legend At the end of the last war, he held a press conference in public and casually walked home, after announcing clearly that he would do so and inviting the IOF to strike him if the dared. They did not dare. I wonder how much they regret their cowardice today…

🧵A lot of people (some naive, some lowlifes) say: "14,000 martyrs for 150 freed prisoners?".
1. This is an uneven struggle. Not a mathematical equation.
2. This is not the end of the war. Every last Palestinian prisoner will be freed from occupation prisons by the end.
[Cont.🔽] Do you think the Palestinians should just leave their prisoners to rot in occupation prisons forever? Yahya Sinwar, Mohammad Deif & many other of the resistance's most important leaders were once prisoners, and were released in previous prisoner exchanges.

🧵On Dahiya Doctrine, Deterrence and Mutual Destruction:
The IOF wages war against resistance group using what they call "Dahiya Doctrine", though it is less military doctrine and more a codified declaration of the open, ongoing intent to commit war crimes
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dahiya_do… Named in the 2006 war on Lebanon (Dahiya being the suburbs of Beirut housing much of Hizbullah's civilian base), this doctrine is a formalization of the IOF's strategy of collective punishment against civlians and civilian infrastructure as a means of discouraging resistance.
