Short thread 🧵 on the significance of the choice of Yahya Sinwar as successor to the martyred leader Ismail Haniyeh, and how it emphatically denies the enemy any accomplishments for their murder of Haniyeh, for which the occupation had multiple goals. 1. The occupation hoped to create a power vacuum that would be filled with a figure less close to Iran and the Resistance Axis.
The choice of Sinwar resoundingly sinks that hope: Sinwar is one of the single closest figures to the Resistance Axis and Iran.

Most crucially: the beautiful unity between Shia & Sunna. The sectarian divide we have been afflicted by over the past decades is the direct result of the billions of dollars invested by the US (and its Gulf tributaries) into sowing division and discord: it is the self-same Divide and Conquer strategy they pursue across the globe.

I have never seen the Arab and Muslim world more united than they are today- and they are united through the choice of armed resistance, and through the same fabled names that echo out from Tunisia to Baghdad to Amman: Abu Obeida, Mohammad Deif, Yahya Sinwar. 🧵on the current status of the northern front:

One of the reasons the current state of the northern front is so suitable for Hizbullah is that the IOF are unable to practice Dahiya Doctrine, meaning it is a one-to-one battle between the resistance and the IOF. Without the ability to commit punitive massacres, such an equation will always be fatally unfavourable for the weak, fragile, ineffectual IOF.

This is, in turn, a result of the incredible deterrence Hizbullah has built up via their extensive arsenal over the past decades.

Concepts like "control" cannot be applied to guerilla warfare: there is a difference between an army being present in an area and controlling it, and it is abundantly clear that IOF is present in Gaza, but in control of nothing. Through their usual farcical media obfuscation the IOF make claims of control regarding areas they are present in, but videos like today's prove this control is but a fantasy, if resistance fighters are able to emerge from the very ground beneath you.

The IOF wages war against resistance group using what they call "Dahiya Doctrine", though it is less military doctrine and more a codified declaration of the open, ongoing intent to commit war crimes
