Many Muslims incorrectly assume slavery is not a "good" thing. It is, and if it was not, then Allāh would not have permitted it, and His Beloved Rasūl ﷺ would not have engaged in it.

They erroneously assume that because freeing one's own slaves can be rewarded, that this somehow means slavery as a whole is evil and ought to be abolished.

Firstly, not all instances of freeing slaves are rewarded, it is only rewarded if done sincerely for the Pleasure of Allāh, otherwise if a person frees a thousand of his slaves without this sincere intention, then though it is valid, there is no reward.

Moreover, if a kāfir does so, there is no reward for him, regardless of his intention.

Secondly, a person is rewarded for giving charity if he does so purely for the sake of Allāh, but does this now mean private property is evil and must be abolished? Must governments take all wealth of individuals by force? Of course not.

In reality, this is modern-day apologetics designed to suit 21st century sentiment regarding slavery and has no basis in traditional Islam.

.:Alahazrat Mega-thread:.

Today marks the day that one of the greatest Sunni scholars of India left this world: Alahazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Hanafi Qadiri Baraylawi [1272-1340 AH / 1856-1921]

Here is a thread of some of my threads regarding him ad translations of his writings Image His detailed definition and discourse regarding worship:

One may be under the impression that the medieval Mu'tazilah were opposed to slavery, however this is not the case.

Rather, the author brings 19th century reformists and describes their approach as being impacted by Mu'tazili tradition, though I'm not sure how.

The same book: ImageImage So yes, "Anti-slavery fight is a modern idea, Islam unanimously agreed with this this practice, this is the consensus", this is correct.

"Homosexual"

The term "homosexual" is a neologism, coined in the late 19th century by pro-sodomy activists

Such classification is recent and was done in order to present sodomites as being a separate oppressed class. Image The first who conceptualised an identity was German lawyer, jurist, journalist Karl Heinrich Ulrichs [1825-1895].

Prior to this, the focus was on the act of the individual, whereas activists such as Ulrichs shifted the focus towards the nature of the individual. Image

Fatāwā Bareilly Sharīf: Khilāfat vs Democracy

Answer:

The one deserving of Khilāfat is he who possesses the seven conditions of Khilāfat, that is:

1. Man,

2. Sane,

3. Pubescent,

4. Muslim,

5. Free,

6. Capable,

7. Qurashī ImageImageImageImage These seven conditions are necessary such that if even one condition is missing then the Khilāfat shall not be sound. The elucidation of this is in all books of creed.

Lab-grown meat seems to be the latest environmentalist project.

Proponents claim such developments shall save the planet and end cruelty towards animals, but in reality their aim is to centralise the food supply.

This is an addition to ideas such as eating insects. Image Muslims ought to remember that Allāh has created cattle for the benefit of mankind, and they are a great blessing and favour from our Lord.

There are numerous explicit verses in the Qur'ān which clarify this, and to oppose this is detrimental to one's faith.

A tragic case that I recently heard.

A 20 year old Muslim woman was engaged to her cousin, the two were in love.

At work she met a Hindu co-worker, ended up being caught by her family in bed with him.

She said she would stop and repent, however she ran away with the Hindu. This is another unfortunate reminder of the risks and dangers of allowing young women to work outside the house unnecessarily in places where they mix with young men.

The shocking thing is that the family were ready to allow her to return to work if she promised to avoid him.

In other words, you wish to replace Islamic culture, something Allah ﷻ and His Rasul ﷺ permitted, something done by RasulAllah ﷺ himself, something he ﷺ approved of for his daughters, and also done by Muslims of various times and places, with Hindu/Western culture. Those who object to traditional Muslim culture only do so due to their love and loyalty to non-Muslim cultures, usually Western culture in this era, whilst simultaneously feeling ashamed and embarassed of traditional Muslim culture.

An expression of mental colonisation.

.:Hanafī fiqh: Eye-drops and contact lenses do not break the fast:.

There are some fatwas today which promote the idea that eye-drops and moist contact lenses break the fast due to their being a connection between the eyes and the throat, which was supposedly unknown in the past Image However, this is a mistake. The reality is that eye-drops and contact lenses do not break the fast, and that there was some sort of connection between the eyes and the throat was not unknown to classical scholars, they were aware and yet did not rule that eye-drops break the fast

Many Muslims have fooled themselves into thinking Islam is a religion of peace, and are now trying to present this to non-Muslims.

However, many non-Muslims do not fall for this as they are aware of Muslim history and conquests, nor are they brainwashed by such slogans. Islam does not mean peace, it means submission and surrender to Allah ﷻ and His Beloved Rasul ﷺ.

Nor is Islam a pacifist religion, both defensive and offensive warfare are permitted when the conditions for it are met.

.:Alimony and the financial rights of the divorced woman:.

It is important to understand the ruling of the Sharī'ah in this matter.

Hereunder is a comprehensive discussion with regard to the rulings of the four madh'habs of Ahl al-Sunnah in this matter. 1. Alimony is maintenance, and a woman has no right to maintenance from the man after divorce, except during the iddah, and there is difference of opinion regarding the details of this among the four madh'habs.

There are two types of divorce, revocable and irrevocable.

This was reponded to approximately 700 years ago by Shaykh al-Islām Taqīuddīn al-Subkī:

“In the chain of this hadīth is Ábdullāh ibn Lahī’áh, and there is well-known speech regarding him.”

— Shifā al-Siqām, pg. 386 Image Meaning that there is well-known criticism [jarh] regarding him among the scholars of hadīth, whereby they declared him to be weak [dayīf], which then makes the narration weak.

It is quite simple.

We Muslims consider our morality to come from God, the same God of the Prophets of the Old Testament and of Jesus, and from His Final Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and them all.

Thus, we consider everything he allowed and did as morally correct. Just as Christians and Jews believe the commands of God to wage war against infidels and enslave their women, as recorded in the Old Testament, to be morally correct, and do not consider them "sick":

.:The possibility of falsehood for Allāh: A brief history, part 1:.

The origin of this belief in recent times begins in 1240 AH / 1825 CE, in the subcontinent. In this year the fire of sectarianism was ignited by the controversial book of Ismāýīl Dihlawī, Taqwiyatu’l Īmān . Among the many abhorrent statements made in this book, one reads:

“The greatness of the King of kings is such that in one instant and by one command ‘Be,’ if He so wishes, He can create billions of prophets and saints and jinns and angels equal to Jibrīl and Muĥammad.”

You failed to quote this in full:

"and had Allah willed He Himself could have taken revenge from them, BUT this is to test some of you with others"

What does this mean?

That Allāh could inflict punishment directly, BUT He chose to punish them through the Muslims. What exactly is this testing that Allāh is referring to?

We may find the answer to this in the very same chapter, verse 31:

“And We shall indeed test you until We make known the warriors [mujāhidīn] and the steadfast among you - and to test your proclamations.”

Awrah in Arabic refers to that which ought to be covered and not left exposed, for example the awrah of a man is navel to knee.

As for women, then their awrah is pretty much all their body, and so a woman is all awrah.

This was said by the Prophet ﷺ, The woman is awrah. Other versions of the hadīth:
