Pretty much all my best trades lately have been entirely based on candles closing strong into prior rejections..... Full bodied candles eating pinbars. Engulfings more or less, but the don't actually have to be engulfing. Loosely termed the Ichi bottle rocket.

My top tips for new traders are:

1. Don’t look at candlestick patterns - dojis etc.

2. Learn point and figure charting it will transform your understanding of PA.

3. Draw simple trendlines using a ‘best fit’ approach not wick to wick.

4. Chart crypto vs USD more. 5. Don’t look for tops/bottoms, look for inflection points.

6. Read twitter for fun, not for entries.

7. Use trend indicators for bias, use market structure for execution.

8. Use high timeframes and don’t babysit your trades.

9. Monitor few assets and understand them.

Trendmaster premium @TrendmasterTM was orriginally conceived to spot high probability trend reversals. The aim was not to catch the very bottom but to enter on early trend breakout. EXPECTATIONS

I have had some conversations this week.
The general gist is 'if you buy your indicator, how long will it take to double my money'.

List is not a criticism to anyone, but i should i align expectations. Please, trading is not easy. No tool will make you profitable. Treat buying an indicator, chart software etc as like a tradesman buying a new tool. You may really like it and it might make your job easier and you may even improve your work...... but it it is not a golden ticket.

Trends in Black and White - Our pro package includes all future developments. I will grant you access to this indicator once I've tweaked the code a bit. No current plans to build bots on it but we'll see.

BTC is consolidating within the range of the signal candle. Range is tightening, you could do worse than to trade the fractal break. From a Moku perspective, we are still in bear territory, however the Kijun-sen has been reclaimed and now we are holding above the Tenken-sen. Chikou is above price so eyes on the flat Senkou B.

Looks heavy. Proper review later. Whichever way it goes I’m expecting volatility today/tomorrow.

Ethereum was the most requested altcoin for review. The upcoming hard fork may be influencing PA... we will look purely at the chart for now. W1 - Bullish Bear
Ethereum weekly is showing early signs of recovery. Price has breached the Tenken-sen and is holding up well. The BTC pair has been in a downtrend since Jun '17 so we should expect lower highs if a long term rally is established.

This thread will review BTCUSD from the Weekly chart to the H4. The emphasis is on assessment of trend conditions to inform longer term/position traders. The analysis is not aimed at scalpers/very short term swing traders. Terms below. W1 Resolute Bear
The weekly chart is resoundingly Bearish. Chikou below price, price below Tenken-sen, Tenken-sen below Kijun-sen and all below a thick red Kumo). However, price is clearly extended (40% below Kijun-sen) and is attempting a recovery.

Top tip for the next round. Stop trying to learn to trade better, close your charts and start learning how to stop losing money.

With poor risk management every trading strategy will fail.
