The killing has to stop. We will not be ignored. Now cops are violently attacking hundreds of people calling for a ceasefire outside of DNC Headquarters, as we chant "Let Gaza Live!"

We want to be crystal clear to the Democratic Party: you cannot continue to ignore those you claim to represent.

The people will not allow it.

The march in DC today claims to represent Jews, so we must be clear:

It's not only possible but absolutely crucial to fight for the safety & freedom of both Israelis & Palestinians.

No mention of Palestinians can only be interpreted one way:

This is a pro-war, pro-Nakba rally. Over the last month, the Israeli military has killed over 11,000 Palestinians, over 4500 of them children.

The rally organizers not only ignore the ongoing massacre, but the point of the gathering is to demand unconditional support for Israel’s vicious assault on Gaza.

One month ago today, Hamas carried out a brutal, deadly attack on Israelis — the most deadly attack on Israelis in history.

1,400+ slaughtered, 240 taken hostage.

There are no words to adequately describe the fear, grief, and heartbreak of that day, and the weeks since.

1/ Jewish tradition teaches that each person killed is an entire world extinguished. On October 7th, thousands of worlds were shattered.

They live on now in the hearts and the memories of the people who loved them. May their memories be a blessing.

Every day, our hearts are broken anew. And with our grief, there is fear.

Despite worldwide calls for ceasefire, every day brings another massacre.

As the cycle of violence and vengeance spirals & spreads, we fear for so many people who are in danger.

And we fear for Jews. Judaism teaches that every person is made in the image of G-d, B'tzelem Elohim.

When people harden their hearts to the sacred humanity of others, it enables the worst acts human beings do to each other.

Violence that scars not just perpetrator and victim, but all who witness.

We are American Jews. We are in mourning. But today, we are at the Capitol to act.

We need leaders in Congress to fight for a #CeasefireNOW.

Chuck Schumer, Bernie Sanders, Hakeem Jeffries, and Katherine Clark: that means you.

And we’re not leaving your offices until you do.





We mourn the dead. And we fight for the living.

Every bomb dropped on Gaza threatens two million Palestinian civilians, and two hundred Israeli hostages, with death.

More bloodshed is clearly not the answer.

Just last week, AIPAC's super PAC UDP used far-right ad firm @OnMessageInc to buy ads for Stevens 🧵 Stevens has already received >1 million from AIPAC, including UDP ad buys with @OnMessageInc.

OnMessage runs ads for insurrectionists like Josh Hawley, Ron Johnson, + Rick Scott.

Stevens know she's in the wrong — so she refuses to answer the question.
