and Awos against evil machinations. And it must be noted that, Èṣù always favours those that performed the necessary and or appropriate ẹbọ and other forms of rituals; "ẹni tó bá ba rúbọ l'Èṣù ń gbè"....

Sàngó
According to the sacred Yorùbá Indigenous Religion known as “Èsìn Òrìsà" is believe that there are two (2) Sàngó .
The 1st Sàngó (Òrìsà ) came from, Ìkòlé Òrun during the time of Ìgbà Ìwásè (Beginning of the World) and he was known as Ayílégbé-Òrun.
The 2nd Sàngó was a devotee of the 1st Sàngó. Hence, the 1st Sàngó predated the 2nd Sàngó , known as Tèllà-òkò, the 3rd Alaafin.

OBATALA VISITS WOLE SOYINKA AT AGE 83.
I gave a public lecture at the Schomburg Centre, Harlem, New York in the late 90s and the subject of homosexuality was addressed by me, and one theatre director accused me of intolerance.
The sum of my submission was, “The Yoruba do not have the word ‘homosexual’ in their vocabulary and by this reasoning, homosexuality is alien to the Yoruba nature and origin.”
Someone shouted, “Did the Yoruba have a word for television? Words are created with new things.
