I’m okay. To put this in perspective, I’ve used my Mox Pearl as a coaster before.

There wasn’t any financial value I had placed on those cards. I only cared about their sentimental value. That Mox Pearl was one I worked hard to get when I was in college, which I got for somewhere around $500. I was never planning on selling or trading those cards.

By now, everyone has heard of/seen this card. Here are my initial thoughts:

1/17 Thoughts on Cost: It's pretty fair. Curving out, this card can be sequenced after a 3-mana Stax effect (trinisphere, RoL, Sanctum Prelate, etc), a 2-mana hatebear effect, and a 1-mana development/Stax effect.

My friend @Mordamen_ is turning me into a Magic card. The front side of the card will be Eight-And-A-Half-Tails. The back side is a photo of myself. My look always changes so I’m letting you guys vote for which photo should be on the back (see tweets 2/5 to 5/5 for photos).

I think a major difference between casual's perception of strategies like Stax and Combo, and a competitive player's perception is how they look at certain combos or locks. First of all, to add what he said about Hullbreacher not being White. I agree with this. Does it make Hullbreacher better than Smothering Tithe? In some cases, yes, but not all. There's some overlap but these cards also service different functionalities.
