My statement on last night’s election results, threaded below for accessibility. After sleeping on last night’s results and speaking with my team this morning, I wanted to update you all on the state of the race.

Today’s ruling was a travesty & a mockery of justice. We are considering an immediate appeal to the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals.

The hearing should never have proceeded with Judge John Sinatra presiding in the first place. Sinatra is the farthest thing from an impartial judge.

For one thing, he is a far right activist, appointed by Donald Trump on the strength of his staunch partisan conservatism and contempt for fair, impartial jurisprudence.

Another wave of grief and anger is all I can feel.

Another man who’s life was stolen from him for no other reason than being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Those who knew him now unable to say their final words to him.

This is indefensible.
