First of, there's no proper data to claim Chhatrapati Shivaji's forces had that many Muslims (claims ranging from dozens of officers to 1/3rd of the military force being Muslim!)

1) Peshwa Nanasaheb didn't die as a result of the loss suffered at Panipat. He had been ill months before Panipat (one of the reasons why he couldn't accompany to north).
