🇵🇱 “Ukraine is not a project. Ukraine is a country with a longer history than russia. Ukraine is a member of this body for far longer than the rF. Ukraine has a history, language, identity & aspirations all of its own, with borders confirmed several times in treaties by the rF”👏🏼
Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski keeps beautifully serving facts at the UN conference:
“You just heard another performance by the russian ambassador consisting of lies, propaganda & hypocrisy. He referred to Ukraine as a project. Ukraine is not a project.”

🧵1: Google updated maps of Mariupol, the images are horrifying.
For over 3 years russian occupiers have closed off the city. war crimes covered up, evidence erased.
In the outskirts; terrifying amounts of rapidly growing unmarked mass graves!
A 🧵👇🏼
2: I “walked” through street by street on the maps. Village by village. It’s disastrous, I wish the whole world see this as it gives you a visual of the insane amount of destruction russia has brought to Ukraine.
Entirely villages, cities leveled and burned to the ground

🧵“Zelenskyy is responsible for all the successes and failures of Ukraine. Full stop.”
I got time today! Let’s break this. dangerously sketchy comment down.
A textbook example of propaganda that blends surface-level truth with deep disinfo, wrapped in a “pro-Ukraine” disguise.
2: This comment comes from someone who has spent weeks claiming to support Ukraine, while consistently echoing Kremlin-aligned and MAGA talking points like:
▪️Calling Zelenskyy a dictator
▪️Saying Ukrainian leadership is to blame for the war
▪️Pushing narratives of incompetence

1/24 May 18th is Remembrance Day of what is said in history to be one of the least know, yet most traumatic genocides of the 20th century.
The mass deportation of the Crimean Tatars: The Sürgünlik.
A history it’s more important than ever for people to know about & share.
🧵
2/24
In the early hours of May 18, 1944, on Stalin’s orders, the entire Crimean Tatar population, at the time over 200 000 people, was deported by the red army.
Families were given just 15 minutes to pack. They were ripped from their homes and forced into exile.

1: 🧵 BIG NEWS! Ukraine’s legendary Azov Brigade now has an International Battalion!
Volunteers from the US, UK, Germany, Norway, and beyond are joining and now fighting shoulder to shoulder in Ukraine’s most elite fighting force.
Everything you should know & how to support 👇🏼
2: If some still don’t know; Who is Azov?
• The 12th Special Forces Brigade Azov is one of the most elite fighting units in Ukraine.
• They’ve been battling Russia since 2014.
• They held Mariupol against all odds.
And now they’re opening their ranks to internationals.

Starvation. Electro shocks. Sexual abuse. Torture. Death
What happens to Ukrainians under russian control.
It’s not isolated cases, it’s systematic & institutionalized abuse.
This is who russia is. Until we all see it & put an end to it, they will continue.
A 🧵 collection.
🔺russian evil truly has no limit, Ukrainian children have been kidnapped and tells horrific tales of the same type of torment and abuse as the adult prisoners of war. old or young, life under russian captivity is hell, Russia makes sure of that.
💔1: Impossible to read the news about Victoriia Roshchyna without feeling tremendous pain & anger. Her body returned from russian captivity in such horrific condition, damaged from starvation & torture, that several DNA tests had to be performed to confirm her identity.
2: Originally little was known about russias illegal imprisonment of Roshchyna, she went missing summer 2023, russia shared zero information about her abduction for 9 months. Investigations have found that she was initially detained in occupied Enerhodar. ineukraine.com/2024/10/14/vic…

🧵1: The Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people has issued a powerful statement—and it deserves the world’s attention.
They categorically reject any attempt to recognize Russian control over Crimea.
Because Crimea is Ukraine. 2. Let’s be clear:
Any recognition of russian occupation in Crimea is not just wrong, it’s a violation of international law, of Ukraine’s sovereignty and of the rights of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people.

🧵1: “Ukraine didn’t fight for Crimea”A narrative only spread by someone who got zero knowledge about what happened in 2014 during russia’s illegal annexation of Crimea, or someone with russian talking point.
Ukrainians resisted in 2014 & keep fighting for all their land today!
2: First, lets start with the fact that russias invasion & occupation of Crimea in 2014 wasn’t an overnight coup, without planning, russia had already tried to occupy Crimea many times before and infiltrated the peninsula with pro-russian assets long before 2014.

This video of four little children being evacuaded from the Red Zone in Kherson, broke me!
I wrote an article about it, but most importantly is that others see this video. Of the reality many are now numb or blind to.
So I’ll post short🧵& link the full story in the last post
I want us to realize, that when we & our representatives do things that hurts the way Ukrainians are defending their nation & people, we take away the only protection these children have. And they deserve better. They deserve our help.

🧵1: It’s peculiar, isn’t it, looking at the big picture.
Very timely to try to turn Ukraine into the bad guys now & scream “let’s pull out of NATO”
Because the majority of American military aid to Ukraine IS STILL JUST A PAPER PROMISE tied in contracts & production IN THE U.S
2: Of course Elon the greedy works overtime now, the American market is already pumped with aid money BECAUSE ITS PAID TO AMERICAN COMPANIES.
Convincing their base now that “Ukraine & NATO is Bad” is their hallpass to not deliver. Like a; not so subtle way of war profiteering.

1/15 Okay, please read through this tiny little thread going through the timeline of historic events of russian violations of Ukraine and then please help me answer the question in the last tweet.
I’ll be quick, I promise 👇🏼🧵
2/15:
💥First Russian Encroachments 17th Century:
• In the mid-1600s, the Tsardom of russia interfered in Ukrainian affairs, exploiting (as they always do) the Cossack uprising against Poland (Khmelnytsky Uprising, 1648).

1/20 Amongst the many types of russian terror in Ukraine, there is one in particular that’s both extremely dangerous & that will be a threat for many years to come.
russia has made Ukraine the most heavily mined country in the world.
Let’s deep dive into these grim details 🧵
2/20: Approximately 23% of Ukrainian land, meaning 174000 square kilometers, has now been contaminated by landmines and unexploded ordnance, something russia has been known to spread across many countries they trample on, including Syria and Libya.

💙💛David Lynch has for years demonstrated consistent support for Ukraine through various initiatives, mostly with his foundation that works for mental rehabilitation of both soldiers & civilians.
In 2009 Lynch visited Ukraine to promote Transcendental Meditation (TM). During this visit, he planted trees as a symbol of growth and peace.

1: Today 25 Ukrainian prisoners of war returned home. All 25 with critical health conditions, serious ill and/or wounded.
Per the Geneva Convention these are soldiers who should be returned at the highest priority. Yet russia have held some of them for almost three years.
2: russia continues to commit war crimes by holding seriously ill & wounded Ukrainian POWs in inhumane conditions. Again & again we hear of how russia torture, starve, deny medical care, abuse & murder Ukrainian prisoners, and yet nothing is done to address & stop it!

1/17 During the meeting of «The Ukraine Defense Contact Group» held at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany, a lot of statements and new announcements regarding support for Ukraine was made.
Here’s a short thread 🧵 of the highlights:
2/17 🇪🇺Kaja Kallas stated The EU would be ready to take lead in support for 🇺🇦 if US starts slacking; «EU is ready to take over this leadership if the US is not willing to.» Also adding: «It’s not in the interest of America that russia will be the strongest force in the world.»

1/ Holodomor Remembrance Day, the man-made famine orchestrated by Stalin’s regime to destroy Ukraine’s people & independence through starvation.
1932-1933
25,000 Ukrainians died every day.
1000pr hour 17pr min.
10 million starved to death.
🧵Here’s what everyone should know 2/ Ukraine is not labeled the world’s bread basket for nothing. It has in fact an incredibly diverse and fertile variability of land making it ideal for farming. And it was exactly that Stalin used as a weapon to murder and force out the Ukrainian people.

1/ How can the world sit by and watch russia, a war criminal state, veto its own consequences at the UN?
This isn’t the first time, or the second, it’s a pattern! History has shown us what happens when we ignore evil.
Let’s talk about why the UN must be reformed 🧵 2/ Russia’s aggression isn’t new, it’s centuries old. From Stalin’s genocide-by-famine in Ukraine (Holodomor) to today’s full-scale war, the Kremlin has shown the world exactly what it is: an imperialist regime that thrives on terror. Why hasn’t this been stopped?

🧵 15 Ukrainian children were returned from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
I want all to read the stories of these children, how the russian occupier strive to erase Ukrainian identity & even force them into the russian army. 2/ it’s absolutely no secret how Ukrainians living under russian occupying forces are subjected to horrific torture, violence & oppression. We’ve seen it in every liberated area, and the stories of Ukrainian survivors are absolutely horrific. ineukraine.com/2024/06/06/ukr…

‼️Since 4am local time, Kyiv has been under attack of drones. For 9hours alarms have been going on and off, explosions & falling debris in several districts. 8 private houses, an apartment in a high-rise building, cars & power lines have been damaged.
This of course is nothing compared to what cities like Kharkiv, Sumy, Kherson & Zaporizhzhia goes through on a daily basis, not just under threat of drones but constant russian missile attacks. And non of this should still be happening. #RussiaisATerroistState
