The US has blocked the most effective ways to meaningfully protest. We can't miss work bc we live paycheck to paycheck and can barely afford rent. The homeless are deprived of any human dignities to serve as a threat to rebellion. And prisoners are legally slaves of the state.
We don't have many unions. And the few that exist are toothless. Secondary strikes are banned. Protests that are disruptive are banned. Assembly without petitions are banned. Public speech that doesn't support US interests leads to unemployment and industry blacklisting.

The trope is based in white supremacy. The blonde characters with golden + white armor are "pure" and "angelic". So even if the system is corrupted ofc the individuals are still good. They're victims too. They'd never intentionally oppress someone. *bombastic side eye* 😒😒😒
@QlownBrat There's violence in making the right hand/golden child from an oppressive system also the "oblivious one". I'm increasingly disappointed with queer creators not having a stronger stance against systemic oppression in their media. We don't need any more "good ones". We need ACAB!
