I received a patient in ER, 22 years old, married for 3 years, 2nd pregnancy, 1st one ended as right sided ruptured ectopic pregnancy and she ended up with laparotomy and right salpingectomy(right tube was removed)
Now she presented with L sided ectopic pregnancy, not ruptured.
We planned Conservative treatment while waiting for her in investigations and emergency laparotomy in case of any sign of ruptured ectopic. I counselled the attendants and got her mother to sign the consent for every sort of treatment required.
The patient didn't know yet.
