Agree. But what about your choice to be silent/refuse to respond (until too late), & not to take action, on the con perpetrated by govt on the people of Sth Yorkshire? Appears you colluded with an unlawful public consultation & transfer of police powers, that you knew about? 1/3 Yr determined silence & inaction (that served yr own, not the public, interest) caused local citizens to incur significant legal costs. To try to challenge yr (& govts) collusion/desire to ‘overlook’ what ethics, integrity & leadership looks like in serving the people of SY 2/3

Who is running Sheffield Labour Gp?

Well it turns out it might be the Leader of Ealing Council, Cllr Peter Mason

At least It’s Our City! got an anonymous email to this effect on Friday

The anonymous sender was simply ‘seniorlaboursource’ 👇👇

A🧵 Image Who is ‘seniorlaboursource’? Well, it could be anyone given the obvious turmoil in the council Labour Gp.

Why r they sending this (unverified) information to me, anonymously? I guess they suspect I will make it public, & that serves their purposes, whatever these are 2/🧵

Yet another sham is being created by our local politicians.

Todays ECM was meant to be about the initial council response to the Street Trees Inquiry Report.

(The Report is not about trees but about incompetence, wrongdoing & the failure to uphold….

[Thread] ..basic standards like honesty, integrity, transparency, & a toxic political culture doubling down again & again. About over-reach of authority, possible illegalities, failure of governance, & misconduct over an extended period. & well beyond trees & tree campaigners.)

POLITICAL CENSORSHIP OF COMMUNITY GROUP (BY LOCAL ELECTION CANDIDATE IN BEIGHTON WARD, SHEFFIELD

Thread/ Three weeks ago I was contacte (as the legal promoter) for the Sorry Not Sorry non-Party campaign, by a small (essentially unfunded) community group providing a much-needed service, and bringing the community together, in a local area in Sheffield.

This is unfortunate & looks like very poor judgement / an error by Andy Buck.

Of course everyone is entitled to their own personal political views…..

[thread start] But Andy is also (pretty well known) as Chair of the Board of Voluntary Action Sheffield, a charitable company (with an annual income of £2.3m), and the umbrella organisation/voice of, the voluntary and community sector in the city.

I’d wondered why we weren’t tweeting about the repeated and continuing pressure being put on tree campaigners to participate in an Extraordinary Council Meeting.

And when our (sovereign) full council has not yet even….[thread] - formally received the Independent Inquiry Report commissioned by them, to own it

- delivered any political accountability (where, in fact, there is much evidence of quite the opposite, a doubling down by Sheff Lab)

It does need to meet the numbers of course, tho should be ok. The only way of stopping it (after July council meeting) was by emergency council meeting before submission. 1/ Ironically, this was one of the few things the strong leader could not decide on her own. Strangely she seems to think even that was in her gift - or maybe still is :o By law, it wasn’t. And isn’t 2/
