I'm mostly in the don't care camp, because after a lifetime of direct involvement and watching the general populace only get *less* knowledgeable about primaries but it'd be nice if they just did things without all the pontificating and people making up narratives to justify /1/ whatever it is. SC already had a special status as "First in the South", it's not like they were a forgotten and uninvested in place. But the purpose of a primary, allegedly, is to nominate a candidate capable of winning the general election and to secure electoral votes. Yes? /2

The votes were locked the day Biden and Pelosi made their little announcements. Keeping sick leave amendment alive, even to fail, was the only move that could be made. There wasn't a chance in Hell of anything else once the admin signaled so loudly what it was going to do Try not to be a reactionary twat in misunderstanding it with the (rightful) rage you feel about it. That's Congress. That's the Dem leadership. That's the power structure that exists and they aren't going to change. Biden has never been and will never be a union guy.
