Story Time (A 🧵):

I knew a young (white) women who got pregnant and decided to explore adoption as a possible choice. She said the agency was *excited* to see her. Early in the conversation the “consultant” said that they would have many families for her to choose from for her baby. Long story short, the young woman divulged that the father of the baby was not white and the agency’s tune changed immediately. If it was a girl, they “might” be able to place the baby, but if it was a boy it would more then likely go to foster care when he was born.
