Today, my very Republican dad told me that as he was making a list of things he's grateful for, he wrote down "being a white male." Then it hit him: if all people were treated the same, he wouldn't have to list this. For the first time, he saw white, male privilege. Keep doing the work and having hard conversations. People are listening.
