I woke up with tears in my eyes this morning, for no particular reason. Just a heaviness in my spirit that’s hard to articulate. To use a Star Wars allusion, “I felt a disturbance in the Force”. Couldn’t place my finger on the cause
It was a cross btwn fear and sadness. Almost sorrowful. Like we had crossed over into a uniquely craven territory of human debasement. A depravity that I’ve seen replay in human history so many times but never personally came face-to-face with.

I’m a convert on this issue. I think calls for even-handedness are fair. And under virtually any other “normal” circumstance, I’d be game. I’m also not a partisan, so that part doesn’t bother me.
