So, what IS AoCLF? Same thing as acute liver failure (#ALF), right?
NO! 🤷♂️
There's no clear consensus, but generally you need to have:
▶️Decompensated cirrhosis
▶️Acute change 2/2 sudden inflammatory state (infection, acute hepatitis, etc)
▶️End organ damage
