Above and beyond the law, but sits on the cabinet and according to reports has been passing sensitive information to more than one First Minister.

This is precisely what a separation of powers is supposed to prevent. A brief refresher… The separation of powers doctrine exists to prevent tyranny & safeguard individual liberties by dividing state authority into distinct, independent branches—legislature, executive, & judiciary—to ensure no single entity has unchecked control of law-making/enforcement/adjudication

Facts matter.

1. The motion was not a ‘clean’ motion on independence it was SNP centric & didn’t acknowledge the valuable contribution from others in the movement. That matters.

2. We were given no notice of the motion and therefore were prevented from submitting / 2 2/ an amendment to reflect that because the SNP leadership won’t speak to us.

3. I asked a member of the SNP if a vote was expected and I was told, no, there will not be a division.

4. Both Kenny and I contributed to the debate, but it has to be said it was intemperate /3
