Some thoughts on why I am feeling optimistic today: 1. Early vote. The gender gap in Michigan's combined absentee and early in-person voting has remained above 10%. 322k more women than men have already voted in Michigan. Image

Few thoughts on MIOSHA moving under the Administrative Procedures Act to promulgate rules for workplace safety, which right-wingers have mobilized en masse to dishonestly characterize as "permanent" rules... The rule making process is just another way for the Administration to collect input from as many interested parties as possible. The process, like so many other things that they now take umbrage over, was specifically authorized by the Legislature years ago.

.@SenEdMcBroom muses in Elections Committee that postage for absentee ballots should never be free because imposing a cost on voting would disincentivize "ballot harvesting."

Asking for @dananessel who wrote of this charge: “Michigan is at a loss to explain these allegations.” Image

I'm going to thread my tweets on this morning's Senate Oversight Committee show hearing on the conspiracy theories from the TCF Center so folks can follow along or mute if you'd like. Hasn't started yet but you can follow along here if you'd like: misenate.viebit.com/player_live.ph… Sen. McBroom starts off by calling Kent County "Clark County." This should be fun
