#NY22 THREAD: Each campaign filed briefings today regarding the Oneida County DMV registrations.

Some of the arguments from today are things we've heard already, but some of it is new information 2/

#NY22 UPDATE: After Broome, Madison, Tioga and Herkimer counties submitted the results of their partial canvassing process, we now have new numbers.

As of RIGHT NOW, @claudiatenney has 155,494 votes, @RepBrindisi has 155,483 votes.

The gap in #NY22 is now just 11 votes. What follows is a thread of everything we have learned so far, and everything we still need to find out.

This information is up to date as of this very minute, so expect that it could potentially change. 2/

YIKES: Why #NY22 will still be undecided long after the GA Senate runoffs, and other things you probably don't want to hear 1/ For this thread, I am going to use the best case scenario for each of the steps along this timeline. It's still more than likely it will be multiple months before this is all sorted out 2/

#NY22 update: 7 of 8 counties filed today, along with both candidates and the justice.

Main takeaway is Oneida County might be in more trouble than we thought, and Justice DelConte is still not playing around.

A full breakdown below 1/ All eight counties have now testified they did an additional search of their spaces and didn't find any more ballots.

Many of them have now proposed specific dates for their specific partial canvasses this week and next.

Looks like the Chenango 67 will remain the Chenango 67 2/

NEW: Broome County Executive @jasongarnar announces 729 active cases (79 new ones today), more than 50 active hospitalizations.

Garnar says “I think (those) might be the all time high. I can’t remember any higher” @WBNG12News Garnar adds the age of those getting COVID-19 is higher than it was a few weeks ago.

30-50 year old now the primary age group, up from 18-24 year olds.

The first thing you should know is that Justice DelConte didn't directly rule in favor of one candidate or the other, while he did partially grant Brindisi's motion.

This process we will now have to follow is entirely of his creation.

Biggest takeaway?? Roughly 1700 ballots not counted the first time will now be included in the count.

This past week has been all court filings; tomorrow we will see the culmination of all of the crazy twists and turns we’ve had so far.

A short thread on how the court could rule on #StickyGate, found ballots and more 1/ Monday at 1, NYS Supreme Court Justice Scott DelConte will hear arguments regarding the filings the Tenney (R) and Brindisi (D) teams filed this week.

Essentially, the two candidates have proposed wildly different plans for #NY22, and the justice could even decide tomorrow 2/

While the #NY22 campaign filings were generic today, some of the counties submitted particularly interesting ones.

The Oneida County BOE for example says it’s open to a full recanvass of absentee/affidavit/overseas ballots, something neither campaign has asked for @WBNG12News Another one to pay attention to was Oswego County today.

Down in part 7, the filing mentions “voting machine issues in Constantia Districts 1 and 3 and Williamstown” which caused some ballots to be had counted.

NEW: Both candidates in #NY22 trade shots through new legal filings submitted today. Using a variety of reasons, both campaigns claim what the other is trying to do is against the law.

The Tenney campaign has argued the counties should certify the results of the election, while the Brindisi campaign has argued every attempt to fix BOE errors should be made 2/

This is a thread of all of their arguments, and why they matter to the future of this race ⬇️ 1/ First things first, there are three different types of documents submitted: affirmations, orders to show cause and memorandums of law.

While they work hand-in-hand, each serves a slightly different purpose. 2/

If you’ve noticed, I’ve only really tweeted about the R and D in #NY22 so far. Sometimes other votes weren’t reported, sometimes I was just so focused on the candidates vying for the lead.

Here is a short thread about everyone who didn’t vote for Tenney or Brindisi in #NY22 1/ First and foremost is the Libertarian candidate Keith Price. As of the most recent count, he has received 6755 votes.

Although that may not be a ton of votes compared to the two traditional candidates (~155k each), it is currently 560X larger than the 12 vote gap in this race!

BREAKING: All 8 #NY22 counties have submitted their final unofficial counts. @claudiatenney now has 155492 votes, @RepBrindisi now has 155480 votes.

While three counties revised their count, the end result is Tenney leads Brindisi by 12 votes total @WBNG12News

Now might be a good time to discuss the court structure in NY.

The current lawsuit the #NY22 updates are coming from is being handled by the NYS Supreme Court of Oswego County and Justice Scott DelConte.

Despite its name, this is actually not the highest court in NY 1/ NY divides its court structure into two sections: criminal courts and civil courts.

The State Supreme Court is one of several courts at the lowest level of the state civil courts. 2/

WOW: A scathing order from Justice DelConte shakes things up in the race for #NY22

1) All counties must preserve their math for the vote counts after errors in Madison & Herkimer.

2) All counties must provide a new total count to the court by 4

“These communications raise additional, very serious concerns to the Court about the pending judicial review of the challenged ballots in this Congressional race.”

BREAKING: According to the vote counts I obtained, I can confirm @RepBrindisi now has 155435 votes, @claudiatenney has 155422 votes.

Almost unbelievably, Brindisi now leads Tenney by just 13 votes in #NY22 @WBNG12News A short word about these numbers: these were the counts that the various county BOEs submitted to Justice DelConte yesterday and today that I obtained. I’ll have a county by county breakdown below ⬇️

REVISION: Just got off the phone with election officials in 7 of the 8 counties. With minor revisions, @claudiatenney now has 153,228 votes, @RepBrindisi has 151,045. This makes the gap 2,183 in #NY22

Short thread with where each county currently stands below ⬇️ @WBNG12News Broome County election officials say there are ~100 uncounted ballots remaining. There are 100-200 that have been challenged, but those are in the count. If the courts rule against them, they will be taken out of the count. Potential for the # uncounted to slightly increase.
