I went back to reevaluate Shakky & Rayleighs relationship & it was more complex than I thought. They're not "married" (conflicting evidence but more clear they're not) but they do live together. It seems like Shakky's happy enough being with him even if not romantically 🧵 it made me think more about their characters & pirates in general, and realised it's actually relatively unusual for pirates to get "married" and settle in the first place, which makes sense. This includes Shakky as she herself doesn't want to commit (even to Ray)

#ONEPIECE1079 I was confused ever since Oda gave Kid the Road Poneglyph rubbings from Big Mom and Kaido. I thought "what's the point? He doesn't have the Zou Poneglyph unlike Luffy and Law and you NEED all 4 otherwise the rubbings are useless. He will never reach Laughtale with them".

For the record, Law/Kid did NOT say they can only use their awakenings ONCE only. This is simply a mistranslation by Viz. In Japanese, Law says he's awakened but he's not used to using it in BATTLES. He says 体力の消耗が尋常じゃなく戦闘の命取りになる which translates to: In parts:
体力 (Stamina) の消耗 (Consumption/usage/exhaustion) が尋常じゃなく (is abnormal/is ridiculous/is extreme)

戦闘の (in battle/in a fight) 命取りになる (it could be fatal/it could cost you your life i.e. It is highly risky.)

To sum it up, they CAN use Awakening, but Oda
