Before I get into the thread I want to preface this by saying that there are no guarantees that Amorim replicates his OOP setup from Sporting, however I’d like to explain the advantages/disadvantages and how his model would potentially translate to the PL.

When out of possession, Erik ten Hag's team mainly sets into a 4-2-3-1 shape with Gravenberch and Berghuis switching positions depending on where they are positioned when the turnover happened. 
Timber plays in the right centre-back role in Erik ten Hag's 4-3-3. When required, he can play as a right-back in the system showing his versatility. The dutch international shows comfortability on the ball, which is key for a modern team looking to build from the back.
