Q. How much incompetence is too much incompetence at chief police officer level?
A.There’s no limit.

Chief Constable Vanessa Jardine will resign and then promptly be REHIRED by @northumbriapol.

Withdrawn following our @WomensRightsNet report and direct criticism from the @EHRC.

No.
Officers are acting in accordance with the training you’ve given them, Commissioner.

They’ve been told ā€œGC people have warped twisted views and are motivated by hate". This was at New Scotland Yard, was applauded by your officers, and defended in court.
(Newman v Met)

1/9 In Newman v Metropolitan police, we heard about a Trans Day of Visibility in 2023, held on Met premises, attended by their staff and officers.

Speakers included activists Saba Ali and Eva Echo. They defended the contribution of these activists in the tribunal.

Final day of the Newman v Metropolitan police tribunal.
The Met paid nearly £26k to Saba Ali, a former PA, for advisory work Oct 2022 - Feb 2025. They state they 'value' her contribution.
One of her recent, hastily deleted 'views. Do they value these opinions too?
1/6 Image Ali also referred to feminists advocating for single sex spaces as ā€œbansheesā€, ā€œbigotsā€ and ā€œmoronsā€ on social media.

Despite her obvious bias, the Met sought Ali’s advice during a gross misconduct investigation into a detective constable for alleged 'transphobia' in 2023.

Predictably, TransActual have rejected the Sullivan review on data, stating it is:

ā€˜rooted in factually incorrect assertions about the binary nature of sex and gender’.

The police are more likely to listen to them than heed the Sullivan review.

The Sullivan review finds the police have replaced sex with gender identity.
Criminals can choose the ā€˜gender’ recorded for them on police systems.

No surprise to those of us familiar with the red carpet rolled out to activists by police leaders, eager to be ā€˜educated’.

Day 6 Newman v Metropolitan Police
The evidence of witness Superintendent Behag Fisher of the Met this morning has been astonishing.

This Supt reviewed the use of Jane Fae at an internal talk, after multiple complaints from staff about the appropriateness of this speaker.

The superintendent reviewed the use of Jane Fae at an internal talk to staff.
Despite strong complaints from staff about the appropriateness of this speaker, she still used Fae for the talk (after consulting with an Independent Advisory Group, including activist Saba Ali).

So, Newman v Metropolitan Police.
Main takes from day 4 (in no particular order).

Case involves influence of trans activists on the Metropolitan police service (MPS) our largest and arguably most iconic police force.

🧵1/ Giving evidence today, intelligence analyst Kit Moore, trans lead for the MPS LGBT+ network. Also organised the Trans Day of Visibility for March 2023.
This was subject of a @WomensRightsNet complaint to the MPS commissioner at the time.

I’d expect the word ā€˜facts’ to be followed by actual facts.
That hasn’t happened in this case šŸ‘‡.

Let me address this:
a. A strip search is a search EXPOSING intimate body parts. It is often done outside a police custody suite. This is NOT ā€˜rare’.

🧵1/10 Image At least 5,000 strip searches took place as a result of stop searches 23/24. That figure just covers 29 of the forces of the UK. So hardly a ā€˜rare’ event.

There were over 65,000 strip searches in custody 22/23. Not ā€˜rare’ either.

POLICE SEARCHES
Lots of discussion on here. Lots of confusion between a strip search and an intimate search.
Surely a strip search is an intimate search though?

Well, no. Let me explain simply why in police and PACE terms.

A🧵
1/10 Image First - a ā€˜basic’ search can be carried out by a police officer on anyone REGARDLESS of their sex.
In public or private.
Removal of no more than outer clothing (jacket, gloves).

PACE = Police & Criminal Evidence Act 1984 by the way.

The @CollegeofPolice currently appear to be advising the nation’s police officers that wives who withhold access to make up and nail varnish, or who object to their husband’s new ā€˜identity’ are committing domestic abuse.

1/5

college.police.uk/app/major-inve…Image The College are the body responsible for professional police practice, but have uncritically accepted the contentious notion that everyone has a ā€˜gender identity’.

A message the nation’s police officers will be receiving.

OK deep breath.
The suggestion being made in this clip is that GC groups are monitored by the police for ā€˜radicalisation’. Basically, that women concerned about their rights are extremists.
This is applauded by those present at an @EssexPFCC event.
This matters.
Read on -
1/6 I know nothing about ā€˜Claire’ but he announces he is vice chair of the force’s (presumably @EssexPoliceUK) Independent Advisory Group.
In the words of that force, he is therefore influencing policy there.

Ok @ASPolice I was at the @StandingforXX event at Bristol #LetWomenSpeak

I want to talk about this press release, (which is utter nonsense btw) and about the management of this public order situation

So pin back your ears @aspsarah_crew @ShelfordMark ….
A🧵 Let’s be clear - women gathered to talk about our rights

An angry masked mob wanted to shut that down, to silence us

Your ā€˜facilitation’ was ineffective

You had all the info & intell yet you did not resource this properly at the outset - your officers had to ask for back-up
